About Us

We are a group of six Transition Year students taking part in the ‘build a bank’ challenge.  This blog will feature updates about our work, and will provide banking tips.

What We Offer

The School Bank offers students the opportunity to open student savers and current accounts.

Debit cards are available and can be used in most retail outlets.  It can be used at ATM’s to access money electronically.

Students can lodge money into accounts on a weekly basis to help save for events such as school tours.

Information and guidance regarding internet banking is available.

Loyalty cards and rewards for saving are available.

Your School Bank

The Big Bank Theory SPC was established in December 2014 by six transition year students as part of the ‘Build a Bank’ challenge. 

The Bank first opened in January 2015.

The Bank focuses on building good customer relations and the importance of modern streamline technology to the future of banking.

What Have We Done?

The Big Bank Theory SPC appreciate the importance of education and knowledge of banking and saving.  We have taught several first year business and S.P.H.E classes using a programme which has generated interest in the bank.
